Why is Lanlee offering a guarantee now and what does it cover?

There have been recent reports within the UK fencing industry of failures of preservative pre-treated ground contact fence posts due to rot. With the timber processing procedures and preservative treatment technologies employed, we are totally confident that all our fencing timbers, including ground contact fence posts, will do the job they are designed to do. Our supplier has introduced a 15 year guarantee on all the Good Wood range of kiln dried, redwood preservative treated fencing timbers to affirm this confidence for all our customers requiring such a reassurance.

The guarantee covers all the Good Wood preservative treated fencing timbers for both in and out of ground applications against the threat of wood decay and insect attack for 15 years. The guarantee is for the cost of re-supply, by Lanlee, of a component that is proven to have failed as a result of fungal decay or insect attack. It does not cover the costs of removal or reinstatement of such components or consequential costs or loss due to failure of the component.

We also offer our Premium range of fencing timers. These timbers are manufactured from mixed conifer species and are not kiln dried prior to treatment, offering a lower cost option that does not carry a warranty. They will have an expected service life of 5-10 years.
