System information To get the best results makesure the surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry, free from bark and any surface treatment such as paint or varnish.
All surfaces should be flooded with preserver, paying particular attention to end-grain and flooding joints to ensure maximum protection. Normally two or three liberal coats are required with subsequent coats applied before the first is dry. The more preserver used, the better the protection achieved. For spray treatment 1 flooded spray coat is equivalent to 1 brush coat and should be applied using a low pressure, coarse (non-atomising) compression spray. After use, remove as much product as possible from brushes etc, before cleaning with white spirit. |
