**CREOSOTE IS FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY**
Coal tar creosote has been used for generations and continues to represent excellent value for money. The high preservative qualities ensure maximum protection for outside, rough cut timbers such as fence posts & panels, garden sheds, etc.
In July 2003, it became an offence in the UK for the general public to purchase and apply coal tar creosote. However, the product is still available for sale to trades-people. This means that traditional users, such as the agricultural community, builders, etc, are still able to purchase coal tar creosote, providing they do not resell to the general householder.
Not suitable for use where there is a risk of frequent skin contact. Always read the label before use; use pesticides safely; contains coal tar.

Creosote Substitute & Creocote
While traditional creosote was withdrawn from sale to the general public in 2003, due to continued demand, Bartoline was instrumental in the development of Creosote Substitute, a preparation comprising of petroleum distillates and synthetically manufactured substitutes.
As from the 1st February 2009, Creosote Substitute has been replaced by Creocote Oil Based Timber Treatment.
The result is a highly effective oil-based wood treatment, very similar to Creosote Substitute, which can be used for external garden timbers such as sheds and fences. It even has the familiar smell associated with traditional Creosote, which has been used for many years. Bartoline Creocote applies exactly like its predecessors, and can be used by the general puplic as well as trade persons. Brushes may be cleaned using Bartoline White Spirit.
